Barkingmadd's gallery

Thu Oct 8, 2009, 10:20 AM
Here is a collection of some of my customs. I have decided to put them on show now after stumbling across the disk of pictures. All of the ponies and dolls were created prior to 2005. Please feel free to view and enjoy them.

**UPDATE**
I wish to thank all of those who have posted comments and added my ponies to their favourites. I have uploaded 372 deviantions over the last 24 hours, with over 800 messages received I do not have the time to thank everyone individually so I wish to do so now. It has been great to look at the customs I created. I made over 200 ponies during my time creating customs, many of which I had completely forgot about. Many of my creations were created and sold prior to 2005 making them over 4 years old. I wish to thank those who purchased these ponies (although I forget the eBay ID's of those who supported me, heck I can't even remeber what half the ponies were called let alone those who purchased them lol) you were all fantastic to work with.

Many Thanks
Jan

Q&A

-Will you make me a pony?
Sorry but all of the ponies you see in my gallery were created in 2005 and prior to that. I no longer make custom ponies, nor do I have any inclination to restart Barkingmadd's custom creations (I have since moved on).

-So why have a DA account?
I made so many custom ponies and when I came across the disk with the pictures on it seemed such a shame to hide it away again. I hope people will enjoy these images and that they will inspire others to make their own. I also hope to bring a smile to the faces of those who remeber seeing all of these ponies first time round.

-Will you tell me how to make custom ponies?
Again I am sorry but I do not have the time to create tutorials. It was over 4 years ago and I forget the brands of paint and clay I used. Unlike when I created many of these ponies, there are now fantastic websites to help budding pony artists. Take a look on google and I'm sure you will find your way.

-I really like a pony in your gallery, can I buy it?
Sorry but as I have already said these ponies are from 4/5 years ago, I do not own a single one of them. Many were sold on to loving homes.

- I own one of your custom creations, can you tell me more about it?
I created over 200 ponies in a few years, while I enjoyed creating them at the time, I haven't given the customs a thought over the last 4+ years. I'm guessing most people couldn't remeber the details of a school assignment given to them 4 years ago, or the details behind a phone call or piece of text. I forget what inspired me to make a particular custom or what tools I used, how long it took, or even what it is called. I understand some people may find this hard to believe but customising ponies came very easy to me and they took up a very small part of my life. The details are not important, they have been uploaded to be enjoyed and shared with others. I hope they do this.

- Are these all of your ponies?
These are all of the ponies I found on a disk I came across. I honestly cannot remember if these are all of my creations but I am guessing not. I seem to remember a dragon pony which is missing and some pansy themed fairies, and there are probably others which are missing who have slipped my mind. With over 300 deviantions to go at though, I believe this will keep people entertained!

I love your ponies. You did such a good job on them ^^ It's too bad you don't make them anymore.

I love those ponies. They awaken childhood memories and at the same time serve as some marvelous pieces of art. And they just look so good. And cute.
